indian passport are eligible for the on-arrival transit visa? please help me.

I have the Indian passport. I am traveling SFO(USA) to Shanghai (Staying 3 days) then connecting flight to India. Which kind of entry permit do I need to take? Should I apply in advance? or I m eligible for the on-arrival transit visa? Please help me.

Hi, Sarika, you are not eligible for the 144 hr free transit in Shanghai. You need to apply for a transit G type for that trip in advance. You cannot get it upon arrival.

Thank you for your help. I have one more question. My kids are minor and they have the American passport. Are they also require the G visa? Or they are fine with the free transit visa?

Your kids with American passport can enjoy 144 hr free transit in Shanghai. No transit G is required.
