About:Kunming Airport

I have 15 hour layover at Kunming, and airlines has given me the hotel

Do I need to get visa for China to get out of airport and go to hotel ?

No, you don't need to get visa because you can enjoy the 24 hours visa free policy. But if you wanna get out of the airport, you need to apply for the Stay Permit at the airport first.
