Hello! S1 visa

I'm planning to join my partner who works in Shanghai and has a residence permit for the period of his contract. We're not married but we can provide a cohabitation certificate confirming we live together for 5 years. At the same time we're expecting a baby and I was wondering if I could apply for S1 (private affairs section) explaining my state (pregnancy) and if this could be considered a private affair.
