About:How to Apply for a China Visa

Day layover tour

There I'm traveling to China and arriving at 5 AM on May 23. That said I heard I need a 24 hour direct transit.......I'll only be gone for six hours from the airport for a tour and then coming back. Do I still need to get a visa with in the airport?

If you are traveling Country A - qualifying Chinese city(within 24 hours) - Country B then you can enjoy 24 hr direct transit in mainland China. No visa is needed. Just try to apply for a temporary stay permit at the airport. Then, you are able to leave the airport to explore the city.
