We will go to Mongolia from Shanghai on the first week of September.

I need to have city tour daily or weekly better and how many days I need to book for the hotel? And how is the weather around September ? Thanks a bunch.

In general, you'd better book the hotel 30-45 days before the tour.
According to the previous statistics, the temperature may range from 20C to 30C in Shanghai and 10C to 20C in Mongolia. Besides summer clothes, you should prepare some jackets and thin sweaters to keep warm in Mongolia. Have a nice journey!

Sorry to bother you again.

Any G train direct from Shanghai to Mongolia Ulaanbaatar or from Shanghai to Xinjiang.Urumqi ? Or any better idea ?

I’m sorry to tell you that at present no high speed trains are available between Shanghai and neither Mongolia Ulaanbaatar nor Xinjiang Urumqi.
