About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

26 hrs stay in Guangzhou

Hello, I'm flying from Malaysia via Guangzhou via Paris to Germany. I have a 26 hours stay between my connecting flight (with another airline) in Guangzhou. Do I need a visa or is it possible with the 72 hours free transit? I'm confused because I have to check out at the one airline and after 26 hours check in at the other airline. So I have to immigrate to China, right?!

If your nationality is one of the 53 approved for 72 hours transit without visa, then you won’t need a visa. If not, you will need a visa in advance.

Okay. Yes i'm from Germany. So what exactly do I have to do at Guangzhou airport? I will arrive with air asia from Kuala Lumpur. Than I go to immigration and say I need the 72-Hour Visa. Than take my luggage and check in to my flight to Germany? What wants the immigration officer see from me?

It’s not a visa. Just print your onward confirmed flight ticket and confirmed accommodation booking (if any). It’s totally straightforward.
