Siem Reap- Guangzhou-Auckland

Jacqui, you are able to apply for the 72 hr free transit in Guangzhou, and you need to inform China Southern Airlines that you need the free transit.

Thank you Zachary. Would i inform CSA when departing Auckland on the first leg of our trip, or advise them when departing Siem Reap back into Guangzhou?

I think both will be fine if it's the same airline.

Can i please just double check on this.

Our flights on China Southern Airlines are:
Depart Auckland - Guangzhou (2 hours) - Ho Chi Mihn (domestic travel to Cambodia) Depart Siem Reap - Guangzhou (48hours) - Auckland.

On our return to Auckland we transit in Guangzhou for approx 48 hours, and have arranged accommodation in anticipation of being accepted on the 72 hour free transit.

Just wanted to be clear that we are able to apply for the 72hr free transit with originally leaving from Auckland and then returning to Auckland.

You have said we are okay to apply for the visa, is this because our flight is from Siem Reap to Guangzhou so therefore Auckland is the third country?

You can enjoy 24 hr free transit and 72 hr free transit in Guangzhou respectively for the trip Auckland - Guangzhou (2 hours) - Ho Chi Mihn, Depart Siem Reap - Guangzhou (48hours) - Auckland. Don't worry.
