About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

minor traveling without parents

I am traveling to China with my 13 year old niece without her parents. Does she need to be present for me to apply for entry permit at the China Consulate? Also, can I designate someone else to pick up our Visa. Does the Consulate mail the entry permit to us or it would have to be pick up in person?

Hi, you can submit the application to the China Consulate on your niece's behalf, and she doesn't need to go there in person. But if the consular officer ask her presence, she needs to go there for the interview. You can designate someone else to pick up the result for you. The Consulate won't mail it to you.
