Visa-free transit: problems with Turkey stamp?

I am planning to travel from London to Pyongyang via Beijing, flights 48 hours apart, on a British passport, and back again a week later. I have seen a report that people who should be eligible for the 72/144-hour visa-free transit on arrival have been denied entry due to having a Turkish stamp. Is this an ongoing issue?

Based on some reports, troubles with Turkish stamps are usually with visa applications and not entry. IIRC some people were able to enter China on group visas after being rejected for individual visas over Turkish stamps. So far haven't heard people being turned away for simply having Turkish stamps although you should definitely ask around, since immigration is unlikely to give you a straight answer on this matter.
