Staying in Beijing for 3-5 days

I'm Canadian and plan to go to Philippines this October/January... I would like to go to Beijing to explore the Great Wall before going back to Canada. Do I need a visa for that?
My Itinerary would be: Canada - Philippines.... Philippines - Beijing.... Beijing to Canada
