About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

American in Thailand

I have a US and a UK passport but I live in Thailand. Can I fly from Bangkok to Shanghai to Tokyo and stay in Shanghai for 144 hours visa free?

Yes it´s fine as long as your flight Shanghai - Tokyo doesn´t have another stop in China.
