About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Hi, Transit through Shanghai twice to catch a Royal Carribean Cruise ship to Japan.

We land in Shanghai from London on 7.55 am 15th Sept and leave on the ship from Shanghai Baoshan port at 4.45pm on the 15th. Total Transit time 57 hours.

We return to Shanghai on the 23rd Sept 7 am & depart on the 24th 11am flight to London. Total transit time is 28 hours.

Note we are English but live in France.

DO WE NEED ANY VISA's. ???

Thx

It depends on where you stop immediately after Shanghai. If you are going non-stop to a third country (not China) then you should be eligible for 144 hours transit without visa for the outbound, and the same rule applies on your inbound.

Thx Kevin,

it looks good for a 144 transit since our first stop is Kyoto in Japan....
