About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

Does your duration of stay reset after exiting Mainland China and going to HK for like 2-3 days?

I wanted to know if reenter into the Mainland, will the duration days reset? For example, I have a multiple entry visa to China and I am only permitted to stay at a maximum of 60 days.
