About:China Visa

Are we qualify for the 144 hrs visa?

Our group trip would be Auckland(NZ)--Sydney(2 Hrs)---Beijing(5 days stay) then Sydney(2 hrs)-Auckland
Would this qualify for the 144 hrs free transit?

No. Because Sydney---Beijing(5 days stay)---Sydney is not a transit at all.
