About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

144 hrs visa Montreal-Frankfurt-Shanghai-Frankfurt-Montreal

My trip would be Montreal-Frankfurt (4 days stay)-Shanghai (4 days stay) then Shanghai-Frankfurt (4 hrs connection) - Montreal

Would this qualify for the 144 hrs visa?

There is no "144 hrs visa". There is 144 hrs transit without visa, but your route does not qualify because Germany-Shanghai-Germany is not a transit.
