Can I get multiple entry x1 visa

Hi, I intend to come study for a bachelor's degree in China. I understand I'll be needing an X1 type for that.
How easy is it to get a multiple entry x1 type? 4 years is a long time to stay without traveling even on holidays

On an X1 visa you are required to convert to a Residency permit within 30 days of entering China. The residency permit has no limit on the number of entries allowed.
