From hong kong to Wuhan

Hello a UK national and I've been teaching in Hong Kong, I'm planning on visiting wuhan from HK arriving 1.30pm Tuesday 24th, my plane back is leaving Wuhan 7pm to Beijing. My connecting flight back to uk is 27th Beijing - back to UK at 12.10am. Is is possible for me to travel on a 72 hour visa?
