About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Having layover in Shanghai

I am travelling from Siem Reap, Cambodia to Toronto, Canada with a 7 1/2 hour layover in Shanghai. I have a Canadian passport and will have an onward ticket to Canada. Will the 144-hour visa-free stay permit allow me to leave the airport and tour Shanghai?

As you only have 7 1/2 hour layover in Shanghai, so you can enjoy 24 hr direct transit in Shanghai. If you have hotel booking confirmations to Shanghai, maybe you can leave the airport and tour Shanghai.
