60 work visa vs temporary resident permit

I have a 60 day work Z which has worked well for my 2 week business trips. However, I will be moving there for 9 months soon. Can I leave the country every 59 days for a few days and not get the temporary work visa? I would be paid in the US for this duration.

Hi, if you already have a Chinese work Z type, you can apply for a residence permit after you enter China, then you can travel in and out without hassle for many times within the residence permit's validity.
