About:China Visa

Why do I need to give information on my parents or children if they're not going to China?

The application form seems to ask for more information than is appropriate or relevant to my visa application. Why do I need to identify parents' names or children's names if they are not dependent on me and are not travelling to China with me?

China has specific visa requirements for people who have children or may be a child of a Chinese national. Its really is to confirm that no one in your immediate family is a Chinese citizen. Visa will be denied if the information is not provided.
