About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

Visa. I live in Ohio and I am trying to apply for a visa to China.

Do I have to go all the way to New York to submit and pick up my entry permit?

Yes, you are right. Also you can find someone else to do that on your behalf if you cannot go there in person.
