About:China Visa Exemption

Are there any issues with getting two transit visas in a row?

With the below itinerary:
UK - China (transiting for same day flight) - Japan - China (staying for three days) - UK
-Would there be any issues with obtaining a same day transit visa (flight to Japan) and then getting a 72 hour free transit on the way back?

No problem. You don't need a visa for that.
