About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Dear Madam, Sir, I have Dutch passport and I am Dutch citizen.

Hi, with my Dutch passport (living in Netherlands), I want to know if I can use 144-hour visa to visit some business contacts in Shanghai only. If I book flight KLM AMSTERDAM - SHANGHAI - AMSTERDAM, is that okay for 144-hour visa? Please advice, or do I need to book 3rd country destination for instance AMS-SHA-HK-AMS? Travel would be around coming end of May 2018.

Hi, KLM AMSTERDAM - SHANGHAI - AMSTERDAM is not a transit at all, so you cannot apply for the 144 hr free transit in Shanghai. AMS-SHA-HK-AMS will be fine. You can use 144-hour free transit to visit some business contacts in Shanghai. No need to worry.
