luggage collection for 144 hour visa

Question

Hi, we are travelling from Frankfurt - Beijing - Melbourne in July and have 20 hours between flights in Beijing.  Do we need to collect luggage  to leave airport with 144 hour visa or can we check luggage the whole way through and just leave the airport with our hand luggage?Thanks

Hi, you can apply for the free transit in Beijing after arrival at the airport. Please contact with the airlines to ask if your luggage will be delivered to the final destination directly. If yes, you don’t need to claim it after arrival.Otherwise, you need to claim the luggage and then you can store it inside the airport.
