About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Atlanta --> Beijing for 3 days --> Hong Kong for 3 days --> Atlanta ... Does 72 hour apply to this?

I am traveling from Atlanta to Beijing for 3 days ... Beijing to Hong Kong for 3 days ... Hong Kong back to Atlanta ... Does the 72 hour apply to this trip?

So yes, you can apply, as long as you will be spending less than 72 hours in Beijing.
