Hello I am a chinese foreigner that wants to apply for a 3 to 5 year chinese visa in China after the new policy came out this Feb.  Can I apply this through a L tourist type, or do I have to have some sort of residency in China for at least 1 year? Thanks

Hi, if you refer to the new 3 to 5 year Chinese residence permit, you cannot apply for it under tourist L type. If you have a X1 type, Z type or S12 type, you could apply for the residence permit then.
