You are suggested to take subway line 5 from Datunlu East Station for 5 stops to Yonghegong Stop, then change to line 2 and get off at Dongzhimen.

After that, walk to the Dongzhimen Bus Station where you can take bus line 916 Express to Huairou North Avenue (Huairou Beidajie) Station. It takes about 60-70 minutes and costs CNY12 per person. Then, transfer to bus line h23, h24, h35, or h36 to Mutianyu Roundabout. Afterwards, walk about 450 meters to the ticket office of the Great Wall. Alternatively, you may also take a minivan to the scenic area from Huairou North Avenue at about CNY50-60.
