About:Passport

Chinese passport expiring. Can I apply renewal online or do I have to go to China Consulate in Mel?

I live in Melbourne and I am a Chinese national. My passport is expiring in a few months. Do I have to go to China Consulate in Melbourne in person to apply for renewal or can I do it online?

Also I heard of digital Chinese passport somewhere. Is it a different process as of applying for a digital one?

Hi, you are supposed to go to China Consulate in Melbourne in person to apply for renewal after making an online appointment. You can contact the consulate to inquire the digital Chinese passport.
