Teaching and bringing Thai spouse to China

Hey there,

I have tried to get an answer but it seems like i have a unique situation.

Basically, i intend to start teaching English in China on a Z. I would like to take my Thai wife and live with me too. Can someone guide me if there is some sort of family/work visa or a year-long tourist entry permit for Thai nationals?

She will not be working, only residing with me throughout the year.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thank You

Hi, your wife can apply for a Chinese S1 type for that. After entering mainland China under S1, she can go to the exit and entry administration of the local PSB to apply for a Chinese residence permit. Then she can live in China with you.
