change of s2 visa to s1

Question

hello ,I am working in Guangzhou and have residence permit until July 31st 2018. I have applied S1 for my family and it is rejected as the validity of my RP is less than 6 months. Can I bring my family on S2 type and then change it to S1 when my RP gets renewed .Thanks

You can try to do this. But before making the application, you are advised to contact the embassy to ask if your family can get the S2 type by providing your RP with less than 6 months validity.
