About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Cruise out of Shanghai issue

Hello, We are arriving in PVG Airport in Shanghai and will be staying less than 72 hours in the city, before departing on a Cruise vessel heading for Japan.
As we are not returning back to the airport, are we valid for the 72 hour exemption?
