Transfer Chinese Visitor Visa from old passport to new passport

HI, I'm an American living in KL, Malaysia and I have a 10 year visitor visa for China but I recently acquired a new US passport and I was wondering how do I go about getting my Chinese visitor entry permit transferred from my old passport to my new passport? Do I even need to have it transferred? Thank you!

Hi, if the information on your old and new passports are the same, there is no need to have it transferred then. You can travel by bringing both the old and new passports.
