I am currently working to earn the CELTA certificate to teach English as a second language. What are possibilities of getting a work visa to teach in China for a person of my age?

In principle, the age limit for male applicants of the working Z type is 18 - 60, but the requirements may be more flexible in real practice. You are advised to contact the China embassy to ask if you can get the Z type.
