About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

My country is not in the 53 countries listed but I have european student visa.

I am from Malaysia, but I've been staying at germany for my study. I'll transit in Beijing for 20 hour during my flight from Germany to Malaysia. Can I apply for the visa at the airport too?

Check with your airline. Malaysian passport holders were ineligible for TWOV when traveling on certain airlines in 2017 and it is unclear whether the ban still applies. Also call Beijing Immigration to double-check.
