About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

72 Hour Visa Shanghai with Different Airports

I will be flying from Tokyo to Shanghai(Hongqiao) and then leaving 36 hours later from Pu Dong Airport to San Francisco. Would this qualify for the 72 Transit visa?

Yes, as long as you have no other stops in China. It's 144 hours in Shanghai, not 72.
