Hi. I am a Philippine National and holding a UAE residence visa. I am planning to visit china for 5 days. I dont have any relatives there. How do i apply for a visa before visiting China. What requirements do i need?

Joan, you should apply for a tourist L type from the China embassy for that. First, prepare your passport and copy of its data page, the application form, a passport-style photo, residence permit, round trip air tickets and hotel reservation. Next, submit the application to Chinese embassy.

As I know, it usually takes four working days for the processing.
