About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Kiev-Beijing-Bangkok, 2 questions (no entry cards from Ukrain Airlines and no visa for Thailand)

Our flightroute is: AMS-KBP-PEK-BKK
I think we have the conditions for a 144 hour free transit but I still have 2 questions:
1. We fly from Amsterdam via Kiev to Beijing with Ukrain Airlines. They say that they do not provide entry cards for passengers. We can only start the application at the Beijing airport. Is this not a problem?
2. We fly to Thailand after 53 hours. Now it is said that you need a visa for the third country you are flying to. But for Thailand you get a stamp in your passport on arrival which is valid for 30 days (and we are not even that long there). Is this also not a problem?
Thank you. Michael from The Netherlands

1) No.
2) No. They really should change the wordings on this site by adding "if applicable" at the end of the sentence.
