About:China City Guide

3-4 days trip in China

Hi. I live in Beijing and I will have 4 days on April to make a short trip, but I haven't decieded yet where to go since I have already been in the major tourist cities near Beijing (Datong, Pingyao, Taiyuan, Xian, Tianjin and Qingdao). Any recomendation? I would prefer to travel by train.

Shanghai and cities nearby is a good choice for this trip. I’d like to give you some advice:

Day 1: arrival in Shanghai and stay near the Bund or Nanjing Rd Pedestrian Street. You can spend the rest time to wander around.
Day 2: Yuyuan Garden – City God Temple – Oriental Pearl Tower.
Day 3: take a bullet train to Suzhou and visit Humble Administrator’s Garden – Suzhou Museum – Tiger Hill – Lion Grove Garden – bullet train back to Shanghai.
Day 4: visit Disneyland Park and prepare to leave.

Thank you for the information, but I forgot to mention that I have already been in Shanghai, Nanjing and several cities from Yunnan, Guangxi, Guangdong. Also Chengdu, Hong Kong and Chongqing.
Since I dont want to take a flight, I dont know many other options.

Are you interested in Zhangjiajie? At the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon, there is suspend glass bridge. You can take a high speed train from Beijing to Changsha, and change to a long-distance bus to get there. You can also viist the Fenghuang Ancient Town. By the way, direct buses from Zhangjiajie to Fenghuang are availale.

You can search for both places which I am sure you would love to visit. 3-4 days in the two places will be worthwhile.
