Question

Can I get a China mainland visiting visa at the Chinese Embassy in Tokyo? Do I need to bring air ticket and hotel booking? What documents do I need to apply for the tourist visa?

Janolof, you can make the application from the CVASC in there. What you need to prepare are your passport and copy of its data page, the application form, a passport-style photo, Japan residence permit, round trip air tickets and hotel reservation.
