About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

Hi, Marriage registration in China

I'm Vietnamese and my fiancée is American. Right after the wedding in Vietnam then we will go to China cause he got a job in China so we think about Marriage Registration in China. How does it work? What documents will we need to bring with? Thank you !

Both of you need to provide passport, visa or residence permit in mainland China, and a single status certificate from your country. Then you can register your marriage in China's Civil Affairs Bureau or go to your country's embassy in PRC to get married.
