Marissa, if you want to apply for a Chinese work Z type, you need to provide your passport and copy of its data page, the completed application form attached with 2 passport-style photos, bank statement, tax certificate, your identity card, and the Chinese work permit from your employer as well as other documents the consular officers consider necessary.
