You are eligible for the 144 hr free transit from Australia to Shanghai and Tokyo to Shanghai. You need to apply for a visa for Beijing because South Korea-Beijing-South Korea isn't a transit.

- We then fly from Tokyo back to Shanghai for one night
- We then fly back to Australia from Shanghai
