About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

ending time for 24 hours TWOV

Hi there,

I am a bit confused about how to calculate the stopover time in China for 24 hours TWOV. I plan to arrive in Beijing by air, then leave Beijing by train. Is the ending time of 24 hours the scheduled train departure time or the time when the train leaves the Chinese border? Many thanks!

For the Kowloon-Beijing train, you will clear Chinese immigration at Beijing West Railway Station, so the 24-hour period ends at the train's scheduled departure time from Beijing. For trains to Moscow or Mongolia, the period ends at the scheduled time it reaches the Sino-Mongolian border because there are no immigration facilities at Beijing Railway Station.
