Passport and visa expiry dates

Hello, I am planning to travel to china Late March-Early April. My current China entry permit expires on the 11th of April and my passport expires on the 16th of July.
Would i be able to travel on this visa with 3 months left on my passport or should I get a my new passport and apply for a new one before the trip?
Thanks.

Karen, if possible, you are advised to renew your passport first because usually the passport should have at least 6 months remaining validity while the traveling. After that, you can travel by bringing both the old and new passports.
