About:Baggage Allowance and Transportation

Luggage Size & Weight

Hello,

I'm traveling to Xian from Beijing by rail with 3 elderly on 26-28 Apr 2018. We will have a total of 3 pcs of luggage + 2 carry on bags. Luggage size is 28-inch luggage (2pcs), 24-inch luggage (1pc).

Any issues bringing them into the train? I presume they are within the allowable limit? From the entrance to the platform, do I have to go up and down stairs often? Any tips to manage them is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

There is no problem to take them with you into the carriage. Baed on my experience, you would need to upstairs once you enter the station to reach the waiting hall. Then when you finished the ticket checking at the checking gate, you would need to down staris again to the platform. Usually escalator can be used when you go to the waiting room, but to the platform, some times, there is no escalators. If you do not want to deal with the luggage, you may try to see if there is any luggage porter at the station and in the waiting room. You can pay a service fee to ask them to carry your luggage to your carriage.
