About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit
layover in PVG airport is about 25hours. US immigrant, we need visa to go out or avail of 24hr free

You don't qualify for 24 hours visa-free transit, because 25 hours is more than 24 hours. You need a visa or different flights.1

You cannot get a visa at the airport. You need a visa in advance, or you need to change your flights so you are in China for less than 24 hours.0
