Is S2 only for Work Permit X

I am planning on applying for Visa type S2 but the relative has a work permit for category B. So I'm wondering whether the relative must strictly have a work permit for category X?

Also, I am told an interview is mandatory. What can I expect to be asked from a S2 interview?
