do i need to go to custom check point at PEK

i will arrive to PEK by Hainan Airline and have another connection to HoChiMinh City Vietnam by China Southern Airline do i need to go to custom check point, and then check in China Southern Airline for boarding pass. i have only 4hrs between to departure.( i have no luggage check in)

Your time is enough and you need to get your boarding pass.
If you fly from another country, then no need to go through the custom. If from another Chinese city, you do need to go through the custom.
