About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Visit to Shanghai for conference

I am flying from London to Shanghai on 26 March (arriving 27th) to attend a conference in Shanghai. I will be leaving on 29th and flying direct back to London. Will I qualify for a 72 or 144 hour visa?

London-Shanghai-London isn't a transit, so transit without visa obviously does not apply. You either need to get a visa in advance or change your flights.
