I am a Thai passport holder with a US green card. I have a 24-hour layover in Beijing with a flight from Boston to Bangkok. What kinds of visa can I get in order to visit China for a day.

If wishing to visit China for a day, you can apply for a transit G type or a tourist L type before the trip from the China embassy or consulate in USA.
